Thanks for the positivity! I love it. As a 77 yr old retired RN, this makes me feel happier about the future of even nursing. During covid i often thought that if we

'Old nurses"had been allowed to work, we could have saved many more live--actually prevented deaths through all the little things we learned and mastered before ventilators and fancy technology. Could write a book about it. Good for the younger people who want to engage with life--who want to proceed with a positive attitude. Thats at the base of every success. God bless them

Yes, I think a positive attitude and engagement with life changes everything. Because the news cycle favors negative news stories to get more clicks I’m trying to include more positive stories. There are plenty out there but just suffocated by the flood of pessimism. Times are tough but if we give in to pessimism… you know where that leads… Maybe you should write that book one day!

Thanks Kay--it would include doctors too. Had a 50 yr old friend tell me last week that doctors will be obsolete soon with all AI's ability to diagnose and treat. What she doesn't understand is is that the really good doctors in all fields (who are around 50 and up) are good for their ability to draw people out and to really listen. People need to feel confident and safe before they will open up. Same is true with nursing. I always loved the old 3 to 11 shift because things were usually a little quieter the wards and i could talk about their woories and really listen--and thats often when real diagnoses and cures happen.

I agree. I share her concerns but people still want to interact with people and still trust them more, especially when it comes to healthcare. I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

It is heartwarming to see this element of positivity in GenZ's flow into practical trade areas and entrepreneurship.

One of my major concerns is that the AI we are being inundated with has been programmed to answer all enquiries in line with preset agendas. Just like 1984, truth is being systematically siphoned out of the "data" and replaced by agenda based "truths". So people are being guided and channelled into the desired beliefs, through a slow erosion, or rapid deletion of valuable and workable methodologies, remedies, inventions, etc

There may be some less agenda-based AI channels available and I'd love to hear of any that folks have found more "Honesty and Critical Thinking" based.

I like Brighteon.AI, but there may well be others that I am unaware of.

Do please post any that you are aware of.

A question to Jan Dawes: You are well versed in the past, current and looming "traps" being flung upon us. I'd love to hear what you see as steps we can all take to avoid, mitigate, resist, destroy and generally navigate through these pending "dooms". I think you must have also collected some good measures to survive, or even flourish through these continuing restrictions on our freedom.

Please do post any good steps we can take.

Brighteon's Enoch AI is a great example of a narrow-purpose AI tool. I plan to write about that soon too because there are others out there like it but because we have been thrust into this big experiment with the major AI lab players like OpenAI, most people only know their systems and don't realize that there are others. Plus, as you accurately point out, each of these systems has the agenda of its designer/owner and that is absolutely leading to an erosion of truth which is a huge concern.

Thanks Kay, I certainly look forward to your evaluations of other AI out there and their pros and cons. I see Brighton as very valuable in natural and alternative health data and advices. There is also a lot of data on other areas. Some others will, no doubt, prove valuable for other aspects . I'll be watching for what you discover.

I like that your reply sounds quite human to me, thank you! And the fact that you took the time to share your insights indicates that you still value humanity -- that which separates us from machines.

The big players who seek more and more control over society peddle a dangerous false narrative that we are simply meat machines, devoid of meaning and purpose. If people believe that -- that humans have no value -- they give up their agency and tyranny wins.

My efforts are to counter that narrative because throughout history we've seen that tyranny is brittle and what makes us human is far far stronger. That is why tyrannists can only survive if those they seek to control believe their lies.

'97-2012 So 28 year olds and younger. Hmmm, could be, I hope so, I'm tired of 40 and Youngers sense of entitlement. Many are "too good" for menial work, especially if it doesn't fit their schedule.

Yes, Gen Z really is a new breed. They’ve been raised by algorithms but are the first to really actively step away from them. I’m very encouraged by this.
